Our Story

Coast Yachts proudly stands as the pioneer yacht membership club in the United States, offering a unique and cost-effective way for members to experience the joys of yacht ownership without any of the associated risks or headaches. Drawing from a rich history of expertise, our founder, an accomplished aviation specialist with a decade of experience in private jet services and ownership, has steered Coast Yachts since its inception in 2010. With a background deeply rooted in boat rentals and yacht charters, and boasting the prestigious title of Credentialed Mariner U.S. Coast Guard Captain, 100-ton Master, our founder leads a skilled and passionate team of professionals dedicated to delivering unparalleled service and creating unforgettable experiences on the waters.

Jason De Palma stands at the forefront of luxury transportation, blending over two decades of unparalleled expertise in the private aviation and yachting industries. With a distinguished aviation career that spans the realms of private jet sales, management, operations, charter and fractional jet ownership, Jason has cemented his reputation as a specialist in luxury transportation. Jason’s journey into aviation was propelled by a profound passion for flying that began at 12 years old when his father gave him his first flight lesson. This deep-rooted love for aviation is matched by Jason’s remarkable proficiency as a U.S. Coast Guard licensed yacht captain, a testament to his versatility and command over both air and sea.

In the maritime sector, Jason boasts over fourteen years of experience buying, selling, managing and operating luxury yachts, pioneering innovative yacht chartering services, and devising groundbreaking yacht membership programs that have redefined nautical leisure for an elite clientele. Jason’s journey began with a vision to elevate the standards of the local yachting community in Chicago. This vision was brought to life through meticulous attention to detail, exceptional service, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Further expanding Jason’s knowledge and influence in maritime ventures, his entrepreneurial leadership shined through when he became the owner of the largest private marina on the Chicago River. River North Marina is located in the heart of the city and is steps away from Chicago’s newest entertainment complexes and luxury real estate developments.
